Dave Mohs Tournament starts Friday

Sixty-four girls’ prep volleyball teams will contend for championships at the 2015 Dave Mohs Tournament which begin Friday.

Edison High is host of the tournament and pool-play games will be played at Edison, Fountain Valley, Huntington Beach, Marina, Newport Harbor, Corona del Mar and Costa Mesa. Local teams Edison, Fountain Valley, Huntington Beach and Marina are entered in the tournament.

The teams will be split into a 32-team Division 1 bracket and 32-team Division bracket. Pool-play games start at 3:30 p.m. Friday and continue at 8 a.m. Saturday morning. The tournament concludes with championship bracket round finals Monday. The Division 1 and 2 finals start at 6 p.m. (Division 2) at Edison.

Division 1 teams: Aliso Niguel, Canyon, Carlsbad, Centennial, Chaparral, Corona del Mar, Dana Hills, Dos Pueblos, Edison, El Dorado, Huntington Beach, JSerra, Laguna Beach, Lakewood, Long Beach Poly, Long Beach Wilson, Los Alamitos, M.L. King, Mater Dei, Murrieta Valley, Newport Harbor, Northwood, Orange Lutheran, Palos Verdes, Rancho Cucamonga, Sage Hill, San Clemente, San Juan Hills, Santa Barbara, Santa Margarita, Tesoro, Villa Park.

Division 2 teams: Ayala, Bakersfield, Beckman, Bonita; Brea Olinda; Buena Park, Carson, Costa Mesa, Crean Lutheran, El Modena, Esperanza, Fountain Valley, Fullerton, Gahr, La Habra, Laguna Hills, Marina, Mission Viejo, Norco, Rosary, Santiago, Segerstrom, Sonora, St. Margaret’s, Stockdale, Strathcona, Troy, University, Whittier Christian, Woodbridge, Yorba Linda, Yucaipa.
