Friday’s top high school football games:

Garfield (6-2, 4-0) vs. Roosevelt (4-4, 2-2) at East Los Angeles College, 7:30 p.m.

There’s no rivalry game quite like this one, in which both teams celebrate homecoming and alumni come back from around the country. Garfield, which leads the Eastern League, has won five consecutive games in the series. It has a big, physical offensive line. Quarterback Andrew Gallegos has been coming on strong for Roosevelt.

The pick: Garfield.

Belmont (8-0, 4-0) at Hollywood (8-0, 4-0), 7 p.m.

The Central League title will be decided in a game matching programs that haven’t been this successful in years. Belmont is led by receiver-defensive back Erik Diaz, a soccer standout. Hollywood relies on versatile quarterback David Rothenberg.

The pick: Belmont.
