Ben Kreitenberg kicked a 27-yard field goal as time expired to lift Chaminade to a 38-35 upset of top-seeded Serra in the Western Division championship game.

Miami-bound Brad Kaaya threw for 298 yards and one touchdown and Donovan Lee rushed for 125 yards and four touchdowns in 33 carries for the Eagles (12-2), who avenged a 36-0 loss in Mission League play and a 30-28 defeat in last year’s Western Division final.

Adoree’ Jackson scored on a 94-yard punt return and a 93-yard kickoff return but his efforts weren’t enough to propel his team to its fourth section title in five years.

Boise State commit Jalen Greene completed 11 of 30 passes for 225 yards and three touchdowns and ran for 70 yards in 13 carries for the Cavaliers (13-1), who were vying for a berth in next week’s regional Open Division game.

“This win shows a lot about the demeanor of our team,” Lee said. ‘We could’ve given up but that wasn’t an option. We wanted to finish this one strong.”
Jordan Lasley had five catches for 120 yards and two touchdowns for Serra and Brayden Lenius had six
catches for 131 yards for Chaminade.
