Baseball: Beck brothers from Corona are headed to Stanford
The college recruiting competition is over for the Beck brothers from Corona, and Stanford is the big winner.
Tristan Beck, who will be a senior pitcher this coming season, committed to Stanford months ago. And now his brother, Brendan, who will be a sophomore, has also committed to Stanford.
Both are straight-A students and top baseball players.
“They’re great kids,” Corona Coach Andy Wise said.
Tristan was 6-2 with an 0.94 ERA last season. Brendan hit .325 as a freshman shortstop.
