Baseball: Local players named to the USA 18U Team Trials

A group of players from Southern California were named Sunday to the USA 18U Team Trials that will be held in August in Houston after playing this past week in the Tournament of the Stars in North Carolina. Forty-four players were selected, and a 20-man team will be decided in August.

Named to the team were Bailey Falter of Chino Hills, Kyle Molnar of Aliso Niguel, Kolby Allard of San Clemente, Chris Betts of Long Beach Wilson, Lucas Herbert of San Clemente, Peter Lambert of San Dimas, Blake Rutherford of Chaminade and Brandon Perez of Mater Dei.

Molnar, Allard, Herbert, Lambert and Rutherford are all UCLA commits
