In the final big summer event for high school baseball, the Perfect Game All-American Classic will be held Sunday at 5 p.m. at Petco Park.

Southern California players participating include Hans Crouse (Dana Hills), Jeremiah Estrada (Palm Desert), Tyler Freeman (Etiwanda), Jayson Gonzalez (Bishop Amat), Hunter Greene (Sherman Oaks Notre Dame), Royce Lewis (JSerra) and Garrett Mitchell (Orange Lutheran).

After Sunday, look for the pitchers to take a break. It’s been a long spring and summer, and they need to be at full strength, healthy and ready to go in their draft year.
