Robert Reeves got so hot last year during the Southern Section Division 1 baseball playoffs that he helped Hart reach the championship game. Now he’s doing it again, so he might be known as Mr. Playoffs.

The senior catcher hit a walk-off home run in the eighth inning to give the Indians a 2-1 victory over Corona. Nick Plaia had homered in the sixth inning to tie the game for Hart, 1-1.

“He lives for the playoffs,” Coach Jim Ozella said. “He came up clutch at the end.”

Brendan Henry got the win in relief.

The Indians will play No. 1-seeded JSerra in a quarterfinal game on Friday at home. They will have to face sidearmer Collin Quinn (11-0).
