Baseball: VIBL playoffs begin on Saturday

Hart and El Camino Real, the top teams during the regular season of the Valley Invitational Baseball League, have drawn first-round byes for the playoffs. The rest of the teams begin playoff action on Saturday.
The opening schedule: Burbank at Royal; Kennedy at Cleveland; Burroughs at Birmingham; Saugus at Crespi; Canyon at Golden Valley; Taft at Camarillo.
All games are at 10 a.m.
Teams will be re-seeded after Saturday’s games. The championship will be held at Burroughs on July 16 at 7 p.m.
