Boys’ basketball: Sierra Canyon routs Price in Division V regional final
- Share via
Chatsworth Sierra Canyon has been considered one of the four best teams in Southern California for most of the season, so it’s no surprise the Trail Blazers are headed to Berkeley to play in a state championshp game.
Sierra Canyon routed Price, 70-44, in the Division V Southern California Regional final on Saturday at Colony High and will play San Francisco University in Friday’s noon final at Haas Pavilion.
Sierra Canyon (25-4) lost in the Southern Section Open Division quarterfinals, which cost the Trail Blazers a spot in the state Open Division playoffs. Put into Division V, they are a dominant team.
Remy Martin scored 19 points, Adam Seiko 16 and Cody Riley had 14 points.
Donnell Murray scored 14 points for Price.
Next weekend will be a trial run for 2016 for Sierra Canyon, which is loaded with underclassmen and could be the No. 1 team in the state.
