Boys’ basketball: Tournament action moves into high gear this week

The high school basketball season kicks into high gear this week with tournaments across Southern California.
Corona Centennial is hosting a tournament beginning Monday that features Chino Hills, Orange Lutheran, Long Beach Poly and Etiwanda, among others. Chino Hills plays Rancho Verde at 6:30 p.m.
Maranatha begins its tournament on Monday. Cantwell-Sacred Heart takes on Canyon at 5 p.m. The big openers are Tuesday, with Fairfax playing Executive Prep at 6:30 pm. and Loyola taking on West Ranch at 3:30 p.m.
Westchester is hosting a tournament that includes Crespi, Narbonne, Dorsey and Bishop Montgomery.
Burbank, Buckley, Crean Lutheran and Mission Viejo are also hosting tournaments.
