Football: Best offense not named Centennial is Camarillo

For those who haven’t watched Camarillo play football this season, you’re in for a treat. The Scorpions (15-0) might have the best offense not named Corona Centennial.
They’ve scored 63, 55 and 54 points in their last three playoff games going into Friday’s CIF state championship Division II-AA bowl game against Del Oro at Sacramento State.
The offensive coordinator is Teohua Sanchez, a former Santa Paula coach. The Scorpions mix screens, play-action passes, tailback runs and quarterback scrambles to make life miserable for defenses.
Quarterback Jake Constantine is coming off a game in which he passed for seven touchdowns against La Habra. The Scorpions have numerous receivers, led by baseball standout Frankie Tostado.
The fact many of the players have known each other for years adds to the offensive chemistry.
