Football: CIF state championship bowl games set to debut in Sacramento

Share

Since 2006, the CIF state championship bowl games have been played in Carson. Starting tonight with the Division II-AA and I-AA finals, Sacramento State becomes the host.

It’s going to be a cold night in Sacramento. No rain as yet, but Camarillo better not expect beach weather for its 4 p.m. game against Del Oro.

Mission Viejo will face San Jose Bellarmine in the 1-AA final.

Camarillo and Mission Viejo are both trying to finish 16-0.

It will be interesting to see how many fans from Southern California make the trip.

There will be three more games played on Saturday beginning at noon.

Time Warner Cable will be streaming the games live and also televising. Here’s the link.
