Football: Hollywood (8-0) faces Belmont (8-0) in surprise battle of the unbeatens

Hollywood last won a City Section championship in football in 1927. Belmont has never won a title. Both schools are 8-0 and meet on Friday night at Hollywood for the Central League championship.
“It’s exciting,” Hollywood Coach Frank Galvan said.
Belmont Coach Gregg Barden has a team with a strong defense and exceptional all-around player in soccer standout Erik Diaz.
Hollywood is led by quarterback David Rothenberg and running back Tyree Moore.
It will be Halloween eve, so dress appropriately. Kickoff is 7 o’clock.
