Football: Investigations begun after scrimmage issues

Share

It was not a good start to the football season last week during a pair of City Section scrimmages that saw players get involved in skirmishes.

City Section Commissioner John Aguirre said he is awaiting for the schools to report what actions, if any, they will be taking after altercations during the Sylmar-Cleveland and South Gate-Banning scrimmages.

Both benches emptied at the Sylmar-Cleveland scrimmage. Order was restored and the scrimmage was resumed. South Gate and Banning were taking part in a four-team scrimmage. A pushing match ensued. Two South Gate players were pulled from the scrimmage.
