Steve Bogan, who built West Covina South Hills into a football powerhouse, has been named head coach at Pasadena Maranatha.
Bogan won four section titles at South Hills before he stepped down as coach after the 2011 season. He began at South Hills in 1992.
Bogan is the second big-time hire by Maranatha from a public school. Tim Tucker was hired last year from Pasadena to coach the basketball team.
