They’re big, they’re strong, they’re mean. Those are the characteristics of top offensive linemen, and the Trinity League will supply its share this season.

Wyatt Davis, 6 feet 4, 315 pounds, is No. 1 on most everyone’s list. The senior from St. John Bosco is committed to Ohio State.

His teammate, center Tavita Moe, 6-4, 348, can compete with him in a buffet line and in blocking opponents.

Santa Ana Mater Dei has a future college standout in 6-7, 325-pound junior Tommy Brown. Santa Margarita think it has the best blocker in center Brett Neilon, a USC commit.

Sierra Canyon lineman Kanan Ray is a four-year starter committed to UCLA. Edison center Mike Saffell has Ivy League intelligence and an offer from Cal.

Nick Ford, 6-6, 270 pounds from San Pedro, should be one of the best in the City Section.

Alemany’s Massaman Ladji Bagayoko, 6-5, 290 pounds, has one of the toughest, longest names to spell, but it’s his improving performance as a blocker that has colleges impressed.

Casey Roddick of St. Bonaventure, 6-4, 330 pounds, and Solo Vaipulu of Corona Centennial, a junior, are rising prospects.

Friday: A sneak peek at defensive linemen to watch.
