Girls’ volleyball: Impact transfers will help teams

Share

On Monday, several girls’ volleyball teams got better with the immediate eligibility of players who had to sit out all of September after transferring without moving. It’s the end of the sitout period.

Woodland Hills El Camino Real, trying to win the West Valley League, will have sophomore Kayla Jacks available for a showdown match against Granada Hills on Tuesday. Jacks, an outside hitter, started as a freshman last season at Chaminade.

Chaminade will pick up 6-foot sophomore Meagan Weaver, who has sat out the first month of the season after transferring from Faith Baptist. She’ll be able to give the Eagles a big boost in the Mission League.
