A youth sports survey from the L84 Foundation has found that soccer is played by more kids than any other sport in ages 6 to 17 in the Los Angeles area.
The survey analyzed 20 sports and found that 80% of youth are active in sports. It was conducted by Sports Marketing Surveys USA and will be presented at a youth summit later this month.
It also found that African American and Latino children are “most likely to be inactive” and girls are less likely than boys to play a sport.
