NFC notes: Ezekiel Elliott, Doug Baldwin and Sam Bradford among those chasing history
Arizona: The Cardinals got six sacks last week against NFC West champion Seattle. Arizona put safety Tony Jefferson on injured reserve this week.
Atlanta: The Falcons can clinch a first-round bye and the No. 2 seed in the NFC playoffs with a win. Quarterback Matt Ryan is 6-10 against NFC South rival New Orleans.
Carolina: Kurt Coleman has 14 interceptions since 2014, the most by an NFC safety in those three seasons. End Mario Addison has 8 1/2 sacks, seven in last six games.
Chicago: This will be the worst finish by the Bears since 2002, when they went 4-12. Against Minnesota, they’ll look to avoid their first winless road record since 1974.
Dallas: Ezekiel Elliott has 1,631 yards rushing, needs 178 more to break Eric Dickerson’s rookie record (1,808). Elliott leads all rookies with 16 total scores.
Detroit: Winner of the Lions-Packers game captures the NFC North and the loser will miss playoffs if the Redskins beat the Giants earlier in Sunday’s slate of games.
Green Bay: Jordy Nelson has 91 catches for 1,191 yards and an NFL-best 14 touchdowns. The Packers had allowed at least 30 points in five of the last six games before their five game win streak began.
Minnesota: Vikings quarterback Sam Bradford leads the league with a 71.3 completion percentage. If he maintains that, it will be an NFL record.
New Orleans: Drew Brees leads the NFL with 4,858 yards passing and is second with 35 touchdown passes. Running back Mark Ingram has 940 yards rushing.
N.Y. Giants: Sterling Shepard ranks second among rookies with 62 catches and 653 yards receiving. Damon Harrison leads defensive tackles with 82 tackles.
Philadelphia: Quarterback Carson Wentz ranks second among NFL rookies to Dallas’ Dak Prescott with 3,537 yards passing and 14 touchdowns.
RAMS: L.A. has lost six straight and 10 of 11 in a collapsed homecoming season. Rookie quarterback Jared Goff has been sacked 19 times in six games.
San Francisco: The 49ers will get the top pick in the draft with a loss and a Cleveland win over Pittsburgh. San Francisco has allowed a franchise-worst 455 points.
Seattle: Seahawks receiver Doug Baldwin needs three catches to break Bobby Engram’s Seattle record of 94 in a season and eight to reach 100.
Tampa Bay: Jameis Winston is 112 yards shy of throwing for 4,000 in back-to-back seasons. He’s tied for Buccaneers’ season record for touchdown passes (27).
Washington: Redskins can clinch the second NFC wild card spot with a win over the Giants if the Packers-Lions NFC North showdown does not end in a tie.
