CCL records: Galaxy 2-0, Central FC 1-2.
Record vs. Central FC: 1-0.
Update: The Galaxy, needing only a tie to win its three-team group and advance to the CONCACAF Champions League quarterfinals, sent a team of reserves to Trinidad & Tobago for Wednesday’s game. That means no Robbie Keane, no Giovani Dos Santos, no Steven Gerrard. Getting a positive result should still be no problem, though; the Galaxy pounded Central, 5-1, in their first meeting at the StubHub Center. And even if it slips up, the Galaxy has plenty of wiggle room with a plus-9 goal differential after two games. The Galaxy has made it at least as far as the quarterfinals in three of its last four appearances in this tournament.
