Clippers to hold training camp in Las Vegas
The Clippers announced Monday that they will hold training camp in Las Vegas from Sept. 30-Oct. 4 at Nevada Las Vegas.
The team will practice twice a day during the first four days of camp before concluding with a single practice on the last day.
“Getting away for training camp offers our team a unique opportunity to bond and focus solely on basketball as we prepare for the season,” Doc Rivers, the Clippers’ coach and president of basketball operations, said in a statement. “UNLV has first-class facilities and we are excited about starting the season in Las Vegas.”
The team held its training camp in La Jolla last season.
The Clippers will hold media day at their Playa Vista headquarters on Sept. 29. Their preseason opener is Oct. 7 against Golden State at Staples Center and their first regular-season game is Oct. 30 against Oklahoma City at Staples Center.
