Nike will not use Oscar Pistorius in future ad campaigns
Nike says it has no plans for anymore advertising campaigns featuring Oscar Pistorius in the wake of the double amputee’s arrest in the shooting death of his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp, on Valentine’s Day.
Nike Inc. spokesman KeJuan Wilkins confirmed the shoe company’s plans to the Associated Press on Monday.
Pistorius hasn’t entered a plea in the case. He is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday for a bail hearing.
Prosecutors have said they intend to upgrade the charge to premeditated murder, but have not released further details.
