Santa Margarita’s Brett Neilon commits to USC’s 2017 recruiting class

Brett Neilon, an offensive lineman from Santa Margarita High, announced his commitment to USC on Wednesday.

“The decision was difficult, but after careful consideration I have decided to make my commitment to the University of Southern California,” Neilon wrote on Twitter.

Neilon, 6 feet 2 and 275 pounds, chose the Trojans among offers from Michigan and Washington.

He is the seventh player to commit to the USC’s 2017 recruiting class, joining receivers Marlon Williams and Randal Grimes, running back Stephen Carr, linebackers Juliano Falaniko and Daniel Green and safety Bubba Bolden.

Recruits can sign letters of intent on Feb. 1.
