Newbury Park Collides With Buena Tonight

Newbury Park, which has returned to the traditional defense of its past, will meet Buena tonight in a Marmonte League game at Thousand Oaks High at 7:30.
The Panthers gave up only 47 yards rushing last week against Channel Islands on their way to a 14-0 victory. Quarterback Jason Merrill, who last week completed 7 of 11 passes for 65 yards is scheduled to start for Newbury Park. Complementing Merrill in the backfield is running back Eric Craig, who carried 10 times for 85 yards and one touchdown.
Newbury Park is 1-0 in league and 3-1 overall.
