St. Genevieve’s Andy Sherman hit Steve Escobar with a seven-yard touchdown in the second period to make it 7-0. . . . Jeff De La Cruz followed with the first of two touchdown runs, this one a seven-yarder to make it 13-0 with 3:35 left in ther first half. . . . Richard Gonzales intercepted a Pater Noster pass and returned it 30 yards to make it 21-0 . . . G. J. Mars recovered a fumble at the Pater Noster 19-yard line to set up the fourth St. Genevieve touchdown. . . . Escobar returned a punt 34 yards to set up the Valiants’ fifth score.

KEY PLAYERS

Quarterback Andy Sherman (SG) completed 15 of 20 for 215 yards and two touchdowns. Wide receiver Steve Escobar (SG) caught seven passes for 138 yards and one touchdown. Running back Jeff De La Cruz (SG) carried the ball 19 times for 79 yards, two touchdowns. He also kicked three extra points. St. Genevieve’s defense held the Pater Noster offense to 95 yards.
