Scholar-Athletes, Retiring Coach Will Be Honored

Mission Viejo High School center Rick Costello heads a list of 25 scholar-athletes who will be honored at a banquet sponsored by the National Football Foundation on Feb. 10 at the Anaheim Marriott Hotel.
Costello maintained a perfect 4.0 grade point average at Mission Viejo. The 25 football players had an average of at least 3.44.
Los Angeles Rams quarterback Jeff Kemp will be the guest speaker at the banquet that will also honor retiring El Modena Coach Bob Lester.
