HIGH SCHOOL SOCCER : Simi Valley Still Unbeaten on Two Goals by Harris

Robert Harris scored two goals to lead Simi Valley High’s boys soccer team to a 3-1 victory over Camarillo in a Marmonte League game Wednesday at Simi Valley.
Paul Kleer also had a goal, and Steve MacKenzie, Jeff Tregembo, and Mike Lovegren each had assists for Simi Valley. It was MacKenzie’s 14th assist of the season.
Marvin Schmidt scored Camarillo’s only goal.
Simi Valley, ranked No. 1 in the Southern Section’s 4-A Division, improved to 6-0-1 in league, 18-0-3 overall. Camarillo fell to 2-5-1 in league, 6-8-1 overall.
Westlake 1, Newbury Park 1--After a scoreless first half, Westlake and Newbury Park battled to a tie in a Marmonte League game at Westlake.
Eric Wynalda scored for Westlake, while Tom Spence had Newbury Park’s goal.
Westlake is 5-2-1 in Marmonte League and 10-4-3 overall. Newbury Park is 3-4-1 in league and 6-7-2 overall.
