San Diego City to Play Wednesday in Playoffs

SAN JACINTO — San Diego City College will play Wednesday in the second round of the Southern California regionals of the junior college state championship playoffs.
The Knights (14-10) will meet either Imperial Valley or College of the Desert.
San Diego City advanced with a 90-88 opening-round victory over Mt. San Jacinto Saturday night. The Knights came back from a 47-42 halftime deficit. In the second half, San Diego City made 20 of 21 at the free-throw line. Mt. San Jacinto was only 5 of 7 in the half.
Kennard Moulden had 31 points and 10 rebounds and Calvin Lewis added 22 points and 12 rebounds for San Diego City. Jeff Daniels had 27 points for Mt. San Jacinto.
