West Valley Christian Girls Win Conference Tournament, 37-21 : West Valley Christian Girls Win Tournament
West Valley Christian defeated Camarillo Christian, 37-21, in the Christian Schools Athletic Conference girls championship game at The Master’s College on Friday night.
West Valley was led by junior forward Donnell Johnston, who scored a game-high 18 points and grabbed 15 rebounds. Teammates Trinette Waters added eight points and 11 rebounds while guard Suzanne Foster had 4 points and a game-high 12 assists.
The championship was the second in the last three seasons for West Valley, which lost the 1985 final to West Simi Lutheran after defeating Camarillo in the 1984 title game.
