Seven Valley-area high school athletes are among 68 boys and 61 girls who will be honored individually by the Southern Section for excellence in academics tonight at Anaheim Stadium.

Individuals scheduled to be honored before the Angels play Baltimore are Jon Perlstein (Calabasas), Eric Pearson and Heidi McCullough (Flintridge Prep), Christine Hagemann (Newbury Park), Jim Seckel and Teresa McNamara (Rio Mesa) and Martin Dinsenbacher (Saugus).
