Their Fans Are Red, the Dodgers Are Blue; Lasorda Hasn’t a Clue
What is it with you sportswriters? Is Tom Lasorda some sort of sacred cow? He has something incriminating on all of you? I can’t believe all of you think he’s a good manager. There is very seldom, if ever, negative criticism published about him.
Last Saturday, you published a letter by two clowns who believe that Lasorda and Tom Niedenfuer are merely two winners who are unjustly berated by L.A. couch potatoes.
Come on, people. This guy is the worst strategist in baseball. His teams have been fundamentally unsound for years. Niedenfuer has lost what was once an overpowering fastball and, with it, all of his confidence.
It’s time to kick Tommy upstairs and bring up some fresh young arms.
