Millikan, Paramount, Poly Dominant on Times Squad

Millikan, Paramount and Poly have 17 of the 23 players on The Times’ All-South Coast team.

Millikan’s seven honorees are offensive linemen Pat Smith and Craig Baker, all-purpose player Bob Crane, defensive linemen Colin Boyd and Ron Singleton, linebacker Raoul Spears and defensive back Charlie Williams.

Five players from Paramount’s San Gabriel Valley League champions made the team, led by quarterback Kojuan Williams, who completed 59% of his passes and threw for 20 touchdowns. Other Pirates on the team are wide receiver Rico Smith, offensive linemen Garrett Spencer and Gerardo Avila and defensive back Benny Compian.

Poly’s Moore League champions also placed five players, including Leonard Russell, one of the best running backs in California. The others are offensive lineman Jason Dallas, defensive lineman Danianke Smith, linebacker Mark Odom and defensive back Eugene Burkhalter.

Other members of the offense are wide receiver Rhett Nichol of Brethren and running backs Anthony Green of Dominguez and Marvin Montgomery of Jordan.

Completing the defensive team are lineman Bruce Roos of Artesia, linebacker Jaime Fields of Lynwood and linebacker Marvin Hunt of Dominguez.
