Mann Breaks Rebounding Season Mark

Point Loma High School’s Terri Mann had 24 rebounds to break her own San Diego Section season-rebounding record as Point Loma beat Serra, 73-21, in City Eastern League action Tuesday.

Mann, who scored 47 points, has 542 rebounds with 10 games remaining in the regular season. Mann set the record last season with 538 and has the nation’s second-best season total.

Cheryl Miller had 672 for Riverside Poly during the 1981-82 season. Mann has 2,009 career rebounds and 2,745 career points. Point Loma (4-0, 22-0) to its 45th consecutive victory. Serra is 1-3 and 10-8.
