Corona del Mar High School dominated the third quarter Wednesday night and went on to defeat University, 75-68, to clinch at least a share of the Sea View League title in a game at Corona del Mar.

University had rallied for six straight points at the end of the second quarter to take a 35-34 halftime lead. But the Sea Kings (7-2, 20-6) outscored the Trojans (5-4, 16-8), 21-9, in the third quarter.

“We lost our composure in the third quarter, in part to a great defense,” said Steve Scoggin, University coach. “Corona del Mar is easily the best team in this league. There’s no question.”
