Rancho Santiago Plays Saddleback

Rancho Santiago College plays host to Saddleback tonight at 7:30 in a game that could decide the Orange Empire Conference basketball title.

If Rancho Santiago wins, the Dons (8-1, 25-4) take the conference championship and earn a first-round bye in the state playoffs starting Feb. 28.

If Saddleback (7-2, 22-6) wins, the teams will play a one-game playoff Feb. 23 or 24 at Orange Coast College to decide the conference title.

The teams have met twice this season and Rancho Santiago has won both games, 65-64 and 65-60.
