Granite Hills High School continued its offensive prowess last week to help it remain the No. 1-ranked team in The Times’ San Diego County baseball Top 10.

The Eagles, who scored 88 runs in a five-game streak to win the Lions tournament two weeks ago, beat No. 5 Grossmont, 7-3, and No. 10 El Capitan, 12-5, last week to take over first place in the Grossmont League.

Mt. Carmel, the Palomar League leader, is ranked No. 2. The top-ranked 2-A team is Mission Bay at No. 4. The Buccaneers, last year’s 2-A champion, moved into a tie for first place in the City Western League by defeating Clairemont Friday.
