Orange County College Roundup : Northridge Blanks Chapman in Soccer

Rodney Batt scored a first-half goal to give Cal State Northridge a 1-0 victory over Chapman in a California Collegiate Athletic Assn. men’s soccer match Wednesday at Chapman.

Northridge is 11-1-1 overall, 3-0 in conference play. Chapman is 6-4-1, 1-1-1 overall.

In women’s nonconference soccer:

UC Santa Barbara 6, Chapman 0--Miriam Palma scored the first goal to pace UC Santa Barbara (9-3-1) at Chapman (1-9).

In Pacific Coast Athletic Assn. volleyball:

San Diego State 3, UC Irvine 0--Despite 14 kills by Kris Roberts and 9 by Ali Woods, San Diego State (8-10, 3-5) won, 15-13, 15-2, 15-10, at San Diego. Irvine is 7-7, 2-5.
