Marshall Fundamental 2, Village Christian 0--Marshall Fundamental defensive lineman Pres De La Torre tackled Village Christian punter Jason Jones in the end zone with 3:44 left in the Alpha League game at Pasadena College.
Village Christian fumbled five times and Marshall Fundamental three. The closest Village Christian came to scoring was an errant 45-yard field-goal attempt by Jason Jones with 1:30 left in the first half.
Village Christian quarterback Drew Martenson completed 2 of 10 passes for 49 yards and running back Joe Everett rushed 14 times for 31 yards.
Marshall Fundamental improved to 2-5 overall and 1-2 in Alpha League play. Village Christian fell to 4-4 and 2-1.
