Golden West to Meet DeAnza

Golden West College drew DeAnza College in the semifinal round of the state community college water polo tournament at 6 p.m. Friday at Long Beach’s Belmont Plaza.
The pairings were announced Monday.
The Rustlers are the top-seeded team from the south after defeating defending state champion Long Beach, 8-6, Friday night in the Southern California regional final. The teams have met six times this season, with Long Beach winning four times.
Long Beach, which won the South Coast Conference, plays Modesto in the other semifinal at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
The winners meet for the state title Saturday at noon.
