For most of the season, Joe Small has carried Bolsa Grande High School’s basketball team with his scoring and rebounding.

Tuesday night, Small’s teammates lent a hand.

With four players scoring in double figures, Bolsa Grande clinched the third and final Garden Grove League playoff spot with a 73-56 victory over Los Amigos.

Small, averaging 22 points and 10 rebounds per game, scored 18 points. But the Matadors (16-8 overall, 8-5 in league play) also received strong games from Harry Torikian (17 points), Mark Pincombe (16) and Jim Usey (16).
