Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Hassan Jones, being tried on a drunk-driving charge in Minneapolis, pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of careless driving.
In lieu of a 30-day sentence in the county workhouse, Hennepin County District Judge Eugene Farrell allowed Jones to do 35 hours of community service, to be completed within six months.
