Rolling Hills Gets Grip on Third Place

In the race for third place and the final Southern Section 5-A baseball playoff spot in the Bay League, Rolling Hills High got a leg up Thursday with a 5-4 victory over host South.

The Titans entered the game tied for third with South and Palos Verdes, but by game’s end Rolling Hills was all alone thanks to some assistance from West Torrance, which handed Palos Verdes a 5-4 loss.

Frank Nastanski (3-4) picked up the win for Rolling Hills.
