Long Beach Wilson had the tying runs on base with no outs in the seventh but could not score.

Zinner struck out six batters and walked none.

Righetti 2, Newbury Park 0--The Panthers left six runners on base in the second-round 4-A game at Borchard Park in Newbury Park.
