St. Genevieve Alumnus Takes Basketball Job

St. Genevieve High alumnus Scott Smith has been named to succeed Dave Hoffman as boys’ basketball coach at the school. Hoffman resigned last month to become the coach at Calabasas High.

Smith, 38, who graduated in 1968, coached the St. Genevieve junior varsity two seasons ago and served as a varsity baseball assistant this spring. He will serve as a walk-on coach.

St. Genevieve, which was 12-10 last season, will move to the newly formed San Fernando Valley League.
