Mid-Valley Advances to AAU Quarterfinals

ARC Mid-Valley stormed to its fourth consecutive victory at the Amateur Athletic Union Junior Olympics 12-and-under national basketball tournament in Seattle, defeating Memphis, Tenn., 95-39, Wednesday.
Five Mid-Valley players scored in double figures. Cameron Murray had 17 points, Bernard Smith had 16, Lorenzo Lieuluei and Duane Curtis each had 13 and Damon Ollie had 10. Alexander Lopez, Mid-Valley’s 6-6 center, had six points and six rebounds.
Mid-Valley plays Missouri in a quarterfinal game today.
