Manning Selected Pacific Coast League Most Valuable Player

Tim Manning, a junior wide receiver-defensive back at Woodbridge High School, was named the most valuable player of the Pacific Coast League in a vote of the league’s football coaches.

Manning led the county with 10 pass interceptions and caught 37 passes for 759 yards and 10 touchdowns. Quarterback David Lowery of Trabuco Hills was named the league’s offensive player of the year and linebacker Mike Yurkovich of Woodbridge was the defensive player of the year.
