THE COLLEGES : College Basketball Roundup : Chapman Loses to Dominguez Hills
Anthony Blackmon scored 25 points to lead Cal State Dominguez Hills to an 82-71 victory over Chapman in a California Collegiate Athletic Assn. men’s basketball game Friday night at Dominguez Hills.
Russ Ortega scored 22 points and had 7 rebounds and Rog Middleton added 10 points for Chapman (7-7, 0-1), which never led.
In women’s basketball
Chapman 79, Dominguez Hills 52-- Jackie Saunders scored 13 points to lead Chapman in the California College Athletic Assn. opener for both teams at Dominguez Hills.
Kim Takayama added 12 points and Corine Sandfry had 11 for Chapman (6-8 overall.)
Pacific Christian 77, Simpson College 24--Kris Dodson scored 16 to lead PCC in its California Coastal Conference opener in San Francisco.
Jenny Fish and Jody Pierce each added 12 for PCC (7-9 overall).
