THE PREPS : Baseball Roundup : Trabuco Hills Comes Back to Defeat Orange, 10-9

Trabuco Hills High School rallied for four runs in the seventh inning to defeat Orange, 10-9, in a Pacific Coast League baseball game Tuesday at Trabuco Hills.

Jim Skidmore singled over a drawn-in outfield for the game-winning hit. David Lowery had two home runs--including a two-run shot in the seventh--a triple and six RBIs for Trabuco Hills. John Goodman (2-0) got the final out in the seventh to pick up the victory for Trabuco Hills (9-3, 6-0).

In other Pacific Coast League games:

Laguna Beach 14, Costa Mesa 7--Clark Carman had three hits, including a home run and three RBIs, and Gary Hitzler had a home run, a single and three RBIs for host Laguna Beach (4-8, 1-5).

Laguna Hills 12, Woodbridge 2--Rob Milo pitched a four-hitter, striking out nine for the victory. He also hit a pair of home runs and had six RBIs. Catcher Mike Helm added two hits and three RBIs for Laguna Hills (13-4, 5-1).

In the Academy League:

Liberty Christian 11, Cal Lutheran 1 (5 innings, mercy rule)--Chris Buckels (5-1) pitched five innings for the victory and had nine strikeouts. He has 59 strikeouts in 27 innings. Buckles also had four hits, including a triple.

In the Express League:

Claremont 15, Calvary Baptist 2--Jim Evans had a triple, and Rich Barona had two hits and three RBIs to lead Claremont (3-6, 1-2).

In the Century League:

El Modena 6, Santa Ana Valley 3--Jason Schade (1-0) pitched a seven-hitter to lead host El Modena (7-6, 5-1). Matt Neubrand had three hits and two RBIs and Mike Virmillion had two hits for El Modena.

Foothill 6, Canyon 5--Bob Valenta singled in the tying run, then Brad Bridenbecker doubled in the winning run for visiting Foothill (10-6, 4-2) in the seventh.

Santa Ana 4, Villa Park 2--Bob Reimers had an RBI double, and Mark DeLaRiva had a sacrifice fly as host Santa Ana took a 4-2 lead in the fifth.

In the Olympic League:

Orange Lutheran 7, Valley Christian 0--Ken Dowding pitched a two-hitter for his fourth victory in five decisions for host Orange Lutheran (7-7, 4-1).

Capistrano Valley Christian 7, Ontario Christian 2--Bobby Haven had two hits, including a two-run home run, for visiting Capistrano Valley Christian (6-7, 1-4).

Santa Margarita 11, Brethren 5--Matt Stewart had three hits and Sergio Muniz and Dan Ball two each for host Santa Margarita (6-8, 2-3).
