In other District 20 games:

Woodland Hills West 9, Valley 2--Del Marine hit a three-run home run and also had a triple and single to lead Woodland Hills West in a Western Division game at Birmingham High.

Jason Mitchell hit a three-run home run in the second inning to give Woodland Hills West a 4-1 lead and Marine’s blast in the third inning extended the lead to 7-1.

Jack Moussa hit a solo home run in the sixth for Valley.

Valley 3, Quartz Hill 2--Valley scored two runs in the bottom of the ninth in the inter-division game to post its first victory against eight losses. Ruben Flores led off the inning with a walk and Matt Mowry doubled him to third. With two out, Noah Kirshbaum and Jack Moussa hit consecutive RBI singles.

Josh Brown allowed five hits in a complete game-effort for Valley, striking out three and walking three.

Valley took a 1-0 lead in the second when Moussa doubled home Lester Echeverria, who was pinch-running for Kirshbaum. Kirshbaum had singled and advanced to second on a passed ball.

Panorama City 5, Encino-Crespi 3--Herman Merchan hit a two-run single to key a three-run Panorama City rally in the fifth inning of the inter-division game at Monroe High.

Joe Cascione’s double for Panorama City (6-2) was the only extra-base hit. Right-hander Dave Unter (2-0) allowed two runs and six hits in seven innings to pick up the win.

Encino-Crespi dropped to 4-3.

Woodland Hills West 8, Foothill Valley 1--Pat Treend pitched a no-hitter in the inter-division game that was called by the umpires after five innings because of a fight and subsequent bench-clearing brawl at the end of the final inning.

Ricky Banuelos and Jason Cohen hit two-run home runs in the first and third innings, respectively, to give Woodland Hills West a 4-0 lead, and Lance Gibson’s bases-loaded single in the fourth capped the scoring.

Foothill Valley scored an unearned run in the fourth.

Palmdale 11, Sun Valley 1--Palmdale pounded three Sun Valley pitchers for 11 hits in the inter-divisional game at Palmdale High.

Herman Murillo was two for three with a run-scoring double in the seventh for Sun Valley, which had won four games in a row.
