ZAGREB, Yugoslavia —
The Soviet Union overwhelmed the Netherlands 109-56 in the European Basketball Championships today.
The Dutch team was no match for the taller, stronger Soviets, who improved to 2-0 in the tournament. The top five finishers in the eight-nation tournament advance to next year’s World Championships at Buenos Aires.
